A Local's Perspective
Life in Oregon.
The Village of Oregon was incorporated in 1883 and grew along the railroad south of Madison. Its downtown includes the South Main Street Historic District, and the old water tower and pump house stand near the village hall.
US-14 skirts the north and east sides of the village and WIS-138 heads east toward Stoughton. Newer neighborhoods have filled in to the west, and Anderson Farm County Park lies on the south edge.
The district serves Oregon and Brooklyn, along with surrounding towns.
